Stilo products have always been at the fore front of safety and technology and in their new addition to their helmet range the ST4 8860 F1 Formula is no exception.Built for the ultimate demands of F1 this helmet is homologated to the FIA standard 8860-2004, it is exceptionally strong and light and one of very few helmets available commercially to this very high safety standard. The small shell weighs 1.50kg and the large shell at 1.58kg. The FIA 8860-2004 standard is required for various championships in 2009. WTCC, GP2 and GP3 and British F3 all require competitors to have a helmet compatible to this standard.The helmet with it’s built in visor ventilation system keeps visors clear and with its top air scoop helps keep the user cool during a race. The helmet has a built in communication port and microphone and comes with a connection for Stilo's ear plug kit (available as an extra as well a conversion cables for other makes of ear plugs). The helmet was homologated with Stilo's soft and flexible padded earmuffs which cut down the excessive noise of a race car allowing clearer pit crew communications. We also have conversion cables to allow connection to an MRTC radio system, The helmet is available with HANS posts or Stilo's own HANS connection option of SEA system which saves 70 grams in weight in comparison to the metallic HANS post.
Stilo are one of only three manufacturers that can produce these 8860 helmets on a commercial basis, and we are the only manufacturer to have a homologated version to fit up to a 62cm head size.The helmet has the option of a quick release drinking system (available as an extra) and a fresh air system (also available as an extra). Please note that only one of these options can be fitted at the same time as they use the same connection point at the side of the helmet.Used in a Red Bull F1 test by Sebastien Loeb the helmet gave a faultless performance with great stability even at a top speed of 319kph. The ST Quattro 8860 helmet is packed with technology all incorporated to give far better protection to the user. The helmet absorbs 50% more impact energy and has improved load spreading during side impact accidents. It also resists 30% more penetration energy and in turn 30% more protection against injuries caused by excessive rotational accelerations, making the FIA 8860-2004 standard the toughest and highest on the market. New WRC 8860 Des - £1790.00

Stilo are delighted about the new WRC 8860 Des rally helmet as it is the first open faced helmet to have passed the incredibly tough FIA 8860-2004 standard, this standard originally set for Formula 1 but is now required in all FIA World Championships and followed by many other formulas. No other manufacturer has managed to get their helmet through this test which is testimony to the Stilo design and build quality!!
While it needs to be incredibly strong it also has to be within certain weight limits!! The small shell version in the extra small to medium size weight in at 1390g with the large shell of the large and extra large at 1440g with HANS posts. These weights may vary between plus or minus 30g.
Coming in a carbon finish the helmet is made from only the very best carbon, and unlike the other helmets in our range the 8860 versions are solid carbon for strength and weight. The new WRC 8860 Des helmet is also the first helmet to have added protection with EPS cheek pads giving the user extra protection to the sides of the face. The new helmet also has a slightly larger fit for the Extra Large size which was an issue for some on the original WRC helmet.The helmet comes fitted with Stilo's renowned WRC electronics with padded earmuffs, the electronics are now easily removed with a lightweight alloy retaining nut thus allowing you to purchase a set of spare helmet electronics in place of purchasing two helmets. The integrated communication port has been moved slightly forward in this model allowing easier access while connecting the intercom and more clearance from the fitted HANS post. The helmet comes as standard with fitted HANS posts.

This helmet has a radical and unmistakeable look all of its own. With a beautiful carbon finish it is manufactured in with an autoclave procedure which makes it extremely strong but also very light. This helmet is an incredible 1350gms which includes the microphone and ear plug connections making it the lightest helmet in its class. The ST Quattro Formula is available with HANS post anchors for connection to a HANS device as standard. Orders are being taken for this helmet in advance as supply will be limited initially. Snell SA2005 approved.
This is the first helmet designed with the option of fitting a specific drinks system without the user modifying the standard shell. This allows the driver to easily drink during a competition and with its quick release couplings also makes it easy to enter and exit the car. The kit, available separately, is easy to fit and adds next to no weight to the helmet. The ST Quattro Formula comes with a clear 3mm visor and not the smoked visor as shown in the picture. There are no hanging intercom cables from our helmets as you plug the intercom into the communication socket on the side of the helmet, a full selection and PTT (push to talk) car wiring options are available for this helmet and also our own ear plug kit (extras required).

The ST Quattro GT has a radical and unmistakeable look all of its own. With a beautiful carbon finish it is manufactured by an autoclave procedure which makes it extremely strong but also very light. This helmet is an incredible 1250gms which includes the intercom system, making it the lightest helmet in its class. For race drivers in GT or touring car championships this GT version has a built in noise cancelling microphone and connections for Stilo’s Ear Plug kit (extras required) but also with the use of our conversion cables allows other earplug kits to fit. The helmet has been homologated with removable padded earmuffs for extra sound proofing in noisy race cars allowing clearer Pit to car communications.
The ST Quattro is available with metallic HANS post anchors for connection of a HANS device as standard. There are conversion cables available to connect the Rally version of this helmet to a Peltor intercom (extras required). This is the first helmet designed with the option of fitting a specific drinks system without the need to modify the standard shell. This allows the driver to easily drink during a competition and with its quick release couplings also makes it easy to enter and exit the car. The shell of this version is manufactured from a Dyneema and Kevlar mix offering a strong construction but slightly heavier (around 100grms) than its more expensive counterparts. The ST Quattro Composite is homologated to a Snell 2005 standard. This helmet comes with the Stilo noise cancelling microphone and communication port as standard and is fitted with locking ear plug kit connector to allow pit to car communications. The helmet is available with HANS posts or our SEA system for fitment to a head restraint. All the extras available for the ST Quattro Formula helmet will fit on this model.

Unlike to the Formula version the GT has a slightly wider aperture and comes with an adjustable sunshade instead of a pull down visor. The shell of the GT is different to that of the Formula so a full visor will not fit this model. The helmet is available with HANS posts or our SEA system for fitment to a head restraint. All the extras available for the ST Quattro GT helmet will fit this model.

This is the best full face rally helmet on the market. It has a large opening which offers a wide field of vision which is great for drivers but also for reading pace notes for co-drivers. It comes complete with an adjustable pull down sun visor located under the peak and is fitted with the WRC electronics and dynamic noise cancelling microphone for use with the WRC/ST30 Stilo intercom. The WRC electronics offer far superior sound quality than other intercom systems, which will be most notable when worn for the first time. This is the helmet worn by the reigning World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb until the new ST Quattro helmet was released, but has been used more recently by the 2008 Junior champion Sebastien Ogier. It weighs in at 1.55kg and is very comfortable to wear owing to its ergonomic design. This helmet is available with Stilo's lightweight SEA system (Stilo Exclusive Anchorage System) for HANS device connection and also with metal HANS posts. If you plan to use your Stilo helmet with a Peltor intercom you will require a Stilo conversion cable.
